EVP and General Counsel, Local Initiatives Support Corporation
Michael is Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC)’s EVP and General Counsel, and has been at LISC since 1986. Mr. Levine’s responsibilities include overseeing LISC’s legal affairs, the administration of its private and government grants, and administrative matters. He is a member of LISC’s Rural Advisory Committee and is on the board of LISC’s New Markets Support Company. Mr. Levine is also the Chairperson of the Advisory Committee of CEI Capital Management LLC, and is a member of the Board of Managers of the National Community Stabilization Trust.
Prior to joining LISC, Mr. Levine clerked for a federal judge, and was in private practice for four years. He graduated magna cum laude from Williams College and Cornell Law School. In 2012 he received a Cornell Law School Exemplary Public Service Award, and in 2014 he was named by the National Law Journal as one of America’s 50 Outstanding General Counsel.
